Ahoy, matey! *waves frantically*
Can you guess what one of the books on my TBR this month is related to?
(*whispers* Is it obvious?? *blinks*)
I know I just said I wouldn’t be able to post, but I’ve just been ITCHING to post something, so here I am.
Ah, the woes of life…
Anyway. Maybe I should actually get to my TBR before a UFO comes crashing down to Earth and everyone loses their minds thinking the aliens will attack us even though they’re only peaceful, confused aliens. (Did that sentence make sense? Ignore me. I’m delirious from lack of sleep.)
Also, I’m aware that the month is basically half-over (whoops), but oh well. *shrugs sheepishly*
1. Because You Love to Hate Me: 13 Tales of Villainy – Edited by Ameriie
I’ve already started reading this book, and can I say—villains are so much more interesting than heroes. (Most of the time.) Although, I was honestly expecting some of the villains to be a bit more… evil.
However, some villains were downright kind. Until they became villains, of course. And even then. They were kind in their own twisted ways.
Side Note: Oooh, that cover is so pretty.
2. Song of the Current by Sarah Tolcser
Pirates! (In reference to my earlier greeting.) (I know this from reading reviews). To be honest, I originally noticed this book on the library shelf and picked it up just because it was so beautiful (the title text is sparkly!). However, having read reviews, now I’m interested in the story too (not that I wasn’t interested when I first read the blurb 😅).
3. Teeth by Hannah Moskowitz
I really want to read this book. Badly. All thanks to Cait @ Paper Fury’s very enthusiastic review. I’m still waiting for this book to arrive though, so—*sits very impatiently waiting*.
So, that’s it for my TBR because I’ll be lucky to even be able to finish all three of these books. I barely managed to squeeze time in for this post (just barely, as in I pushed back doing some assignments because I’m a procrastinator *looks very sheepish*).
Thanks for reading! 👋
