Weekly Quote #6

National Dayof Prayer.png

I cannot express to you how true this is. As human beings, we are constantly being held back—by our own thoughts.

We get stage fright because we’re afraid of getting laughed at.

We don’t want to apply for jobs because we’re afraid we won’t get them.

We don’t want to start our own businesses because we think we’re going to fail.

We’re afraid to go for what we’re passionate or dream about because we’re afraid we’ll fail.

That’s constantly what keeps us from achieving are dreams, and is also what often keeps us from success. We don’t take chances because of the chance things won’t go the way we want them to.

What’s your take?

Weekly Quote #3

I like to think of reading as escaping to another reality. When I’m reading a book, I’m experiencing life through a whole different person in a whole different world.

What’s your interpretation?

Weekly Quote #1

So, the lack of posts has been because of lack of inspiration, but inspiration finally came to me today! ✨

I’m going to be posting a weekly quote. Most of the time it will be from a book, spoken or written by an author, or somehow relates to books, but sometimes I’ll include a quote that really touches me or stands out to me.

This will also ensure that I at least post once a week. 🙂

To invent your own life's meaning is not easy, but it's still allowed, and I think you'll be happier for the trouble.

This quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt’s book, This is My Story. This quote means a lot to me because I think it’s so true. When I was younger (even now), I let other people’s comments and achievements make me feel inferior. But I didn’t have to. And neither do you.

What are your thoughts?
